Since its founding in 2000, the Ironbound Business Improvement District (IBID) has upgraded and improved the District by focusing on quality of life issues such as sidewalk and street cleaning, streetscaping, parking changes and pedestrian signage and other administrative tasks. It also has promoted the District through custom marketing and partnership initiatives.

The Greater Newark Convention and Visitor Bureau (GNCVB) is the official destination marketing organization for the cities of Newark and Elizabeth, New Jersey.
GNVCB is committed to promoting and marketing the assets of the region generating economic development and creating new jobs by increasing the length of stay at area hotels, increase per capita spending in the tourism sector, as well as attracting new events, meetings and conferences to the region.
The GNCVB is a private 501(c) New Jersey non-profit corporation composed of local tourism stakeholders. It is not a part of the city, county or state governments; a political party or faction; a civic or social club; a social service or welfare agency. The GNCVB Board of Directors is comprised of tourism professionals and key industry leaders.
